Hello,

I have had a couple of people ask about the new State Exam.

I am linking it to its outline in this post so that everyone can find it easily.

General Lines new Exam outline can be found on Page S11,on the 38th page of the PDF document...

Thanks. I went there... I wish we had more help than we do in this course. I guess I'm expecting to get an "agents" education, maybe that's asking too much, lol. I think our "instructor" should put up posts explaining every unit section, wouldn't that be helpful!

Should I/we be concerned with the new outline for 2014? The format changed significantly. I have spent the last 2 weeks preparing for this version but I won't be ready until early Jan. Also, is there a final exam for this OLT class ? If so, how and where do we take it? I am starting u it 17 tomorrow so I'm trying to get organized. Thx for help.

Garland, You should not be concerned with the new outline for 2014. Although the format has changed, the course content has not changed. You will be tested on content and not on how the content is presented. There is a final exam with the 2-20 course. It is available online upon completion of unit 17. You are allowed two attempts on the final exam and you have to score a minimum of 70% to pass the course. Jan

So we should leave the course , open a new page an email you. I'm messaging my questions so I don't have to leave the course. Part of my problem is moving around the site.

Kathleen, If you have a question specifically for the instructor, you should email me directly at bradburn@oltraining.com. You can do this through the course or through your email account. Jan

Wendy, What I'm hearing from students makes me think that the state exam has changed slightly. Two students told me recently that they thought the OLT final exam was harder than the state exam. I've found the state exam to be a mix of the questions in the state manual and the online exam questions. By this I mean, you will find some scenario questions (like the state manual) and you will find that some questions are more straight-forward. If you understand the concepts taught in the course, you will do fine on all types of questions. Jan
