I've read most, if not all, of the other threads regarding the state exam, and I wanted to share my experience after passing the state exam on my first attempt.
Section 1.2 of the 22nd edition of the study manual tells you exactly what to study. It's a vast amount of information, but the 150 test questions are selected randomly and could cover anything in the manual.
The four main sections are Automobile, Property, General Liability, and Package Policies. Worker's Comp is the fifth largest section. Although these sections comprise a large portion of the exam, they do not weigh heavily enough to only concentrate on these areas. Cancellation/Non-renewal statutes also seem to be an area of importance.
I recommmend studying every unit in-depth and obtaining a firm grasp on the concepts and formulas rather than just memorizing answers to scenarios.
Best of luck to everyone!
