Hello, the syllabus and Welcome letter receiver their completion check based o whether they have been viewed (in a particular course).  Therefore once you have clicked on one of those links and taken the time to read the document the checkbox should be marked (the system checks approx. every 3-5 minutes and adds newly earned check marks.
