Error in answering question

Good Afternoon,

I found that when I entered the correct answer for (U5-L1-P2-Q3), "private passenger automobile" I would get the answer wrong.  I would go back and double check the spelling and resubmit, but it would say I need to type my response the same as it shows.  I noticed that for the answer it has "private passenger automobile" typed twice.  Does that have anything to do with it accepting my response?  I decided to log off and go back in.  When I did this I noticed that my answer was not marked as wrong, but it didn't indicate I got it correct on the follow up screen.  I did not get the answer marked wrong overall either.  Also, is there a way that the word "auto" and "automobile" can be accepted as correct responses?

Hi Sherrall,

The lesson questions are “practice-only” questions and they do not count toward your grade.  Once you fill-in-the-blanks, the system should prompt you to “check you answer” against the correct answer.  These questions are not supposed to be marked correct or incorrect so it really doesn’t matter if you enter a few words or an entire sentence.  The idea is to see if your answer matches the answer from the course.   If you feel you have answered correctly, please move on through the course.  Only the unit and final exams counts toward your grade and the final exam is multiple-choice so you won’t experience this issue on the questions that are graded.

I will re-check the answer that is showing twice.  Please let me know which insurance course you are taking.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have other questions.

Jan

Hi Sherral,

Thank you for pointing out that this answer is shown twice.  I have corrected this so the answer appears once.

The unit exams and the final exam are multiple-choice so you won’t experience this issue on the questions that are graded.  "Auto" and "automobile" are both correct.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have other questions.
