Why are there 165 questions, but only 150 are counted?

Why are there 165 questions, but only 150 are counted?

I've failed the test several times now, but I can't understand why the test has 15 questions that don't get counted. It upsets me because I'm using my knowledge to answer 15 questions that aren't being added to my score.

Can someone explain this to me?

The 15 "extra" questions are test questions that the FLDFS are trying out to see if they want to include them on future tests.  Many times these questions are taken from new information that is not included in the course and the state manual.  Students often say that they never heard that information before - usually it is because it is one of the 15 test questions. - Jan
