Hi Ricardo I am happy to help. I copied the below from the document Click here for Important Information about your course! which is found at the top of Unit 1 in your course. I will let you read that, and then I will also go into the final exam and double check that it matches what is said in this document.
Unit quizzes: Unit quizzes are graded, and averaged together are worth 50% of your final course grade (in most courses). You must score at least a 70% on each unit quiz to pass them. We recommend striving for a 90% in order to do well on the Final Exam (and State Exam if applicable). You can take these quizzes as many times as you wish, and the highest grade is kept for your records.
Final Exam(s): In most pre-licensing and designated courses, you are only allowed two attempts on the Final Exam (which is one more attempt than a college class would allow you!), and the higher score of the two is what is used for your official Final Exam grade. In CE courses, we allow you unlimited attempts at your Final Exam and the highest grade is kept.
All unit quizzes must be passed with a 70% in order to take the Final Exam. In most courses, the final exam is worth 50% of your grade. It is highly recommended that you thoroughly understand the material before attempting the Final Exam. Per most State laws, you must score at least a 70% on the final exam. If you don't score at least a 70%, restudy the content and then take the exam again.
EXCEPTION: INS003 Health and Life (Life and Health) pre-licensing course has four section/final exams, and these may be taken as many times as desired). In Florida, the unit quizzes are averaged together for 25% of your course grade. In Maryland and Pennsylvania, they are 20% of your course grade for that course.
Course Completion: Once you have passed the Final Exam, please click on Submit all and finish and then fill out the Course Completion Affidavit/Grade Submittal Form (found on the Course Outline/course home page after you finish your Final Exam). You will not receive credit for this course until you do this step. You should receive your grades within about a week. (By law, we have up to 21 days to electronically report your completion to the State and up to 30 days to email to you your Certificate of Completion).
IMPORTANT: Per State rules, we place your Final Exam score, not your OLT course average score, on your Certificate of Completion and report that Final Exam score to the State.
To get credit for the course and have your completion reported to your State and receive your Certificate of Completion:
1. You must complete the entire online course unassisted by any person, course material or other material.
2. You must receive a 70% or higher on each chapter quiz and ESPECIALLY on the final exam.
3. Once you complete the entire course, click on, fill out AND submit your Course Completion Affidavit/Grade Submittal Form.
Ok, I just accessed the final exam and I see:
Attempts allowed: 2
Grading method: Highest grade
Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.
