Hello All,

please see the question below and analyze the correct answer by the course. 

 

The insured carries Collision and Other than Collision coverage under a Personal Automobile policy. The Other than Collision deductible is $100 and the Collision deductible is $100. The windshield breakage repair cost was $170. The insurer will pay:

A. $250

B. $0 (zero) Incorrect

C. $70

D. $170

 

The correct answer is $ 170 as per the course, which I believe is incorrect, in-case you consider the state below statement/ info from the course:

 

Florida Statute 627.7288 prohibits a deductible from applying to coverage from the breakage of windshield glass. Windshield glass refers to the front windshield of the vehicle only.

Hi Naeem,

 

I had the same question when I came across this question and seemingly incorrect answer in the system. However, you and I both mis-read the question. You are correct, the insured will pay $0 (zero). However, the question wants to know how much the insurer will pay. Which is $170.
