Robin, 

You are not allowed to bring anything into the state exam room.  Your personal belongings (keys, cell phone, etc) are locked in a locker during the exam.  

Some testing centers may provide paper and pencil if you ask, but you cannot bring your own paper into the exam.  There are very few "math" questions on the exam and if you get these questions, they require very simple calculations.  You likely won't need paper/pencil.
