Hi Jeffrey,

Both of these policies are what's known as non-owner policies.  They provide insurance on vehicles the named insured does not own.  However, the named insured has regular use of these vehicles.  A non-owner policy is for individuals who have the regular use of a vehicle, but they do not own any vehicle.  An example of this would be an elderly parent who lives who their child and uses the child's vehicle to go shopping.

An extended non-owned policy is for individuals who own a vehicle and have a PAP but they have regular access to a vehicle they do not own, i.e. a company car. This endorsement extends coverage from the PAP to the non-owned vehicle.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have other questions.

Jan
