Is anyone esle having issues with retaining or grasping the info on topics like 'person driving non-owned vehicle and wanting to purchase liability, medical payments and UM coverage' while driving someone else's car?

answers giver are:

a) Drive other car coverage

b) Named non-owner coverage

c) Individual named insured

d)  Extended non-owned coverage

"Drive other car" makes a lot of sense and so does "Named non-owner". Can someone help me to grasp the difference between those two, I'm super confused.

Thank you in advance!

Joana,

It's easy to confuse these endorsements.  :)

Extended Nonowned coverage is usually and PAP endorsement for company cars that are available for personal use. It extends coverage from the PAP to the company car.

Drive Other Car is an endorsement on the BAP for nonbusiness use of nonowned vehicles.

Named Nonowner Coverage is for an individual who does not own a vehicle, but has the use of a vehicle.  i.e. an elderly parent who lives with you.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have other questions.
