The question asked True or False "What are 'Unlawful rebates" then it gave the below statement in green.
Your answer : False
You got it wrong, Sorry!
" Unlawful rebates (unless provided by law or in an application filing with the department) include: 1) Permitting or offering to make any rebate unless plainly expressed in the insurance contract; 2) Paying, allowing, are getting directly or indirectly any unlawful rebate premiums or any special favor or advantage in the dividends or other benefits or any valuable consideration or inducement not specified in the policy; or 3) Giving, selling, or purchasing any stocks, bonds or other securities of any insurance company or other corporation when not specified in the insurance policy. " is the correct response to:
What are "unlawful rebates"?
I answered false because in h 1.b it states: "Paying, allowing, or giving, or offering to pay, allow, or give, directly or indirectly, as inducement ot such insurance contract any unlawful rebate of premiums payable on the contract, any special favor or advantage in the dividends or other benefits thereon, or any valuable consideration or inducement whatever not specified in the contract;"
I stated the answer was false because the above states "Giving" not "Getting", that is two different things. The way this statement was worded I took "getting" to mean receiving not giving out the inducement. This statement is false not true.
