Hello, I am sorry for your frustration and would like to help resolve it.
You mentioned bad grammar - could you give an example? We have been using the program Grammarly for the last couple of years to go through our courses and make sure that the text matches current best practices, but we may have missed something.
You also mentioned not getting credit for correct answers. First, please understand that your lesson grades are for your information only and do not show up on any transcripts. Second, please share any examples of a correct answer not getting marked as correct, and we will review your example and fix the course if necessary.
In the past, we have had issues with students adding extra spaces or characters to their short answer responses. Our program identifies the response with extra characters (spaces) as wrong.
I've shown another example of something we have seen where the student knows the correct answer but gets it wrong below. (The student wrote a sentence in response instead of filling in the blank.)
Question: Bill has a Personal Auto Policy providing PIP coverage. Bill is injured in his vehicle and suffers $20,000 in medical bills plus he suffers work loss of $10,000 in lost wages. How much will his PIP pay for his bills?
Bill can only collect a total of $____ from PIP.
Student Response: Bill can only collect a total of $10,000 from PIP
Response:
You may or may not have gotten it right. Your answer didn't exactly match ours.
Please compare your answer to the correct answer: $10,000
The correct answer should read: Bill can only collect a total of $10,000 from PIP.
Remember: The total paid for all four types of benefits cannot exceed $15,000 per person per accident.
Did not receive credit
Please let us know (either through email or this forum) if you find errors in our courses, as fixing those errors makes the course better not just for you, but for your fellow students.
