I believe I answered this question in a separate email, but I want to response in the student forum for the benefit of other students.

Insurance coverage follows the vehicle so Mary's coverage is primary and it will pay $10,000 in liability coverage. Jane's coverage is excess and it will pay the remaining $30,000 in coverage.
