Course description:

3 hour Continuing Ed Course, Intermediate Level. This course is designed and delivered to comply with State requirements. Students can complete the course at their own time and pace via the Internet. The course comprises of Modules or Chapters and two Exams. The program will allow you to re-take a new exam only if you fail with a score of less than 70%. You must make a grade of 70% on each exam to pass and receive your Certificate of Completion. Your scores are graded online. OnLine Training will issue your Certificate of Completion.

This course on "Ethics & the Client" is a completely self-contained study which is to be completed entirely online. It contains four sections: Introduction to Ethics, Unauthorized Entities, Unfair Trade Practices, and Agent Behavior & Client Expectations. There are two examinations (one after part two and the other after part four). Upon completion of this course, the student will receive 3 hours of continuing education credit.

The Goals of this course are:

  • The student will pass each of two exams with a 70% or better and receive a certificate for 3 hours of continuing education credit in the field of ethics. 
  • The student will learn the laws regarding ethical conduct in the insurance profession.
  • The student will see individual case studies of agents prosecuted for unethical conduct.
  • The student will be encouraged to pattern their personal and professional lives on high moral values, resulting in ethical behavior.
  • Lastly, the student will learn how to establish their own personal code of ethics to guide them.

Course Outcomes:

The student will successfully learn and comprehend the material and pass the online exams with a score of 70% or higher, thereby attaining his/her Certificate of Completion for 3 hours of CE credits.

Biography: Joe has been in the insurance industry for the last twenty years and has been an insurance instructor for the last eighteen. He holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Services (MSFS) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. Besides being an insurance CE course provider and instructor he is currently an adjunct professor for Palm Beach State College in Florida. He has been teaching insurance CE courses, the Chartered Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and the Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) designations and the training of agents to secure the Federal financial services licenses for the last 20 years for the center of financial studies in New York.
